Where: Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada
The 16th edition
of COSIRES will be held from June 16 to June 21, 2024 (i.e.,
next year) at Queen's University in Kingston, Canada.
The COSIRES conference is held every two years. It is a leading
venue for presenting and discussing recent advances in the computational
investigation of materials phenomena caused or influenced by all forms of
irradiation. A field that connects primary radiation damage to
irradiation-induced effects is necessarily at the forefront of computational
and experimental materials science, often driving innovation in advanced
techniques across a vast range of time and length scales.
The previous COSIRES conference was held in 2022 in
Porquerolles, France, and was attended by more than one hundred research
scientists from around the world. In 2024, we expect ~150 attendees. 13 invited
speakers from 9 different countries have already confirmed their participation.
More details can be found on the conference website: https://sites.google.com/view/cosires2024/home?authuser=0 .
The call for abstracts in now open, and will remain open until
December 15, 2023. Both oral and poster contributed presentations slots are
available. We expect to “promote” a few contributed talks to invited talks. You
can submit your abstract on the conference website: https://sites.google.com/view/cosires2024/home?authuser=0
.
